artist statement

Through my digital and painted artwork, I express and explore my views and interest in the essential elements of the relationship between human beings and the spaces that surround them. I often work in parallel on digital and painted pieces, my work with each medium feeding and enriching my work with the other. Many of my pieces are composed from photographs taken of my family during our travels over the years, and which have been digitally simplified and then often transferred to the canvas.

I work more and more in connection with the spaces where my work is shown, playing with the scales and different techniques (mural, drawings, paintings). Part of my work is ephemeral: directly painted on the wall, it disappears at the end of the show.
