A group show of prints

Unfocused imagery, blurry reality
A quote from President George Bush: “There’s plenty of time for politics”, inspired these pieces. He said this sentence when he rejected calls to boycott the Beijing Olympics over China’s human-rights record.
I work with images extracted from the news or photos that I have taken. The images, generated with Photoshop, are blurry like the perception I have of the reality of events which are difficult to understand and always more complicated than the media presents them. We never remember many details about a past event. There are so many of them. The quotes are very small on the large prints: I do not intend for the viewer to see them first.
